They're 4...... days old, that is.

Hi all, twins are doin great and I've posted a link to their TV commercial as Thursday's Baby. It really is cool to watch. only 30 seconds long, so it doesn't take much time. As you can see Tristan is doing better. He is down to one simple tube in his nose to help him breathe, and they are currently weening him off that, so By the end of the week we should be able to hold and kiss on him as much as we have with baby girl. They say she may come home as soon as thursday, but he won't for at least 4 days after her. As it stands right now she is down to 4 pounds and he is at 5 pounds, but she literally eats twice as much as he does. She is up to 30 ml every 3 hours, where as he only does 15. Also he gets his the easy way, thru a feeding tube. We get to bottle feed her and after about ten minutes, she is ready to go back to sleep. It's tough being a baby. Anyway, Got to get some sleep while we still can. Talk to you all later. God Bless.

HEEEEEEEEEEERE'S TRISTAN!!!!!

Here's Tristan before he left the O R, and before they were admitted to the NICU. By the Way, NICU = Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit. FYI.

The Twins Have Arrived!!

Here is Little Miss Reagan asleep as usual. Our babies are so precious and we know we are truly blessed. Tristan's lungs were working overtime so he has needed some special attention. It is hard to watch with all the tubes and cords he has to deal with, but we feel really good that the issues he is having are only temporary and he will be better. He is doing much better now. he is finally sleeping, so he should be on his road to recovery. I got to give Reagan her late lunch bottle, and she gulped down that 5 milliliters like it was nothin'. It was very special to me, as her father, because not only was that the first time she had been fed by either of us, but it was also the first time I was able to hold her outside her heated crib. very special day. I would also like to add that, at this point, her attitude and mentality seems to be exactly like her dear ol dad. She hangs out without a care in the world. even when she is asleep and I start to tickle her, or get her to open them pretty eyes, or just not leaving her alone, she just doen't get upset. She has been in this world for 40 hours and she hasn't cried other than when she was delivered. The NICU nurses say she has been just lovely. I feel we don't know Tristan's personality , because you shove hoses tubes down anyones throat, they are not going to be happy about. so once he makes it tru this little roadbump, I am curious to see if he is high strung like his mother or a big chiller like daddy and sister.
